Hi from the north of Scotland

Post by Selkie »

Hi I found this site through my husband and a friend of his.
I'm interested in any advice or tips on storing or preserving food.
I've been thinking about buying canning or vacuum packing equipment, you see a lot of it on ebay; however the range in price is enormous and I would like to find out more before i comit myself.
As you have probably gathered from that i love cooking.
I'm studying psychology just now, joy of joys. Two more exams and this year is over :D
Same old thing when someone tells you to introduce yourself you dont know what to say. I've spent the last god knows how many months reading books relating to psychology, mental health and anatomy and physiology and writing papers relating to them; kind of numbs the brain when you are put on the spot for something chatty and interesting, sorry folks.
Plan for the worst......but enjoy every minute of it.

Hi Selkie

I'm West of Glasgow. Nice to have you on here. I'm quite new too, but it's amazing how fast those preps grow when you find out what to do :).

G'day Selkie,

Are you really a were seal from Scottish legend? :D

Remember that car boot sales are a great place for finding the jars you need and cost pennies.

And as a conversation starter try ... "So tell me, what is the worst advice that you were given that you actually listened to?" ;)

Hello and welcome.
