Lildl have just got them in again (Jul 3 2014).
Bought one, got it home and:

Not Very good.
Suction keeps distorting the bag / sucking the bag through the nozzle.
Heat sealer is good.

Taking it back ASAP.

I use industrial vac packers everyday. These are regulated by Environmental Health and Ministry Vets. We have to operate vac packing under strict regulation.
That aside, these 'domestic ' versions are not good. In fact they are awful.

Better to use a good strong freezer bag and squeeze the air out, tie and freeze. Save yer cash. Please. :D

Seconded.. chocolate teapot comes to mind, waste of shelf space.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.
