My Stealth Permanent Camp/Bug Out Location.

Fiesty, in the past I have put personal stuff on here, and have been lambasted for it, people either don't believe me or are just not interested, so why should I do it now? also there is the case of OPSEC on what is an open forum for anyone to read. I am not stone walling but I am genuinely concerned about how much of my plans I can put for anyone to read, that would be/should be anyone's concerns in the scenario you outline.like they said in the last war "walls have ears".

That's fine - I respect that, but at the end of the day I am no further forward. I think I'm nearly out of preppers' kindergarten and I'm moving up to big school, but the teachers don't seem to have any answers for me . I've deliberately not put my personal beliefs in glorious Technicolor here because, at the end of the day, the specifics don't matter - it's the need to flee and hide from a sophisticated enemy that does. I just wanted to know if anyone believed they had the skills to evade capture and survive for as long as necessary and would share some of that. So far, the answer is no. If we have any former SAS, spies, etc on here, please PM me with an exhaustive list of your skills and expertise - your secrets are safe with me . I hope no-one thought I'd hi-jacked this thread - as I said before, I didn't think the heading was specific to just the one camp in the photographs and that the answer to my questions might have taken the form of a stealth permanent camp/bug out location.

'flee and hide' stands out in your post. I have done this already. I have relocated as a result of a huge immigrant influx into my ex-home town. I won't go into the specifics or details of how my ex-home town changed, suffice to say it was enough to make me sell up, change career and effectively start again. So, I've already fled and hid in a place that I figure no immigrant would want to settle due to a) lack of amenities and b) the harsher than average moorland environment.

Note to self: remember to put the house up for sale and look for new job whilst getting the family together to flee for our lives. Rannoch Moor it is then. Those midge nets are going to come in handy. At which point do we venture back into civilisation to check on the house sale?

TS doesn't have to be going to HTF for Briggs's lifestyle to sound like a damn good idea a UK mountain man + wife of course comes to mind, to put as much distance between one'self and the rat race as you can, whilst remaining in touch with it, is not so much paranoia but idyllic

I know it's not easy to uproot a family. I offered you what was my solution to your scenario four and that's what you were after wasn't it, input from others who have applied a plan.

I hope that doesn't sound smug or a put down to you for not trying, I certainly do not mean to come across as either. It was a huge step, we sold up and gambled but with some luck and a bloody-minded attitude, it's worked out for us. I am sure our friends all thought it was a crazy idea, some even tried to talk us out of it, however I now feel as though I could not go back, I would not fit in at all, not even if Tescos had allocated 'Dog & Quad' parking.

I know it's not easy to uproot a family. I offered you what was my solution to your scenario four and that's what you were after wasn't it, input from others who have applied a plan.

Not at all, I was more concerned that I didn't come across smug because I've relocated. Far from it, I have some way to go before I'm fully off-grid and out of the rat-race. I'm not a mountain man yet, I'm somewhere between Richard Brier's in 'The Good Life' and the locals in 'Southern Comfort', aiming more for the latter,

But at least we are all further on than the Margo and Jerry's of this world! or are we? Seems they are extending homes downwards now and creating what is essentially a safe room but many of them and in a luxury style with swimming pools and the like. I would be happy with a small home away from everything and of grid though to be honest.
