Hi from Leeds

Post by Mally »

Hi guys.
I've been visiting this site for a while now and there's a lot of interesting stuff on here.
What I really like is that I'm now able to chat to a whole bunch of likeminded people.
This technology stuff has a lot going for it. Resisted it for years (this is my first ever computer).
So please bear with me if I'm a bit slow to post etc.,
Now then, about me!
I suppose I've been a prepper most of my life, even as a child, although I didn't realise it then.
As a young child, up to about the age of 13, I would run away from home often. I spent many nights out by myself. Normally in fields or woodland. Then my mum walked out, leaving my dad to bring up a large family. But how my life changed.
I could get off camping, often by myself and my 5 speed racer. Went all over on that.
Moving swiftly on, I went through a 4 month period of homelessness in a very cold winter. I as so organised even at this young age. I spent about 3 weeks of this time living alongside some gypsy travellers who moved in ti my location.
I've been into survival and camping for a lot of years and have, over these years, developed a real mindset for being prepared for as much as I possibly can. Well stocked first aid kits and stocks of food and water are the norm.
Thanks guys.
Mally
I regard myself as having good skills and knowledge in the areas I've mentioned. I've read a lot of stuff on here about bug out vehicles and maintaining them and this is where I fall short. Wouldn't have a clue about stuff like this.
Look forward to chatting guys.
Hope the intro isn't too long.

welcome Mally, a bug out cycle makes more sense than a vehicle and with a trailer you can carry quite a bit of stuff. It is easier to maintain and stealthy.

Hi everyone and thanks for the replies.
Thats something I've been looking at Hamradioop.
Haven't had a bike for a lot of years now but I just know I'm gonna end up with one again.
