To make your own waterproof matches you will need 1 tea light candle or old candle stub and a box of strike anywhere matches
instructions
1-light tea light candle/old candle stub (if using old candle place in shallow saucer to collect melted wax) and wait till all wax is liquified (then blow out)
2-dip half of match into molten wax for a couple of second, remove then hold for a couple of seconds till wax has cooled then dip in other half to coat (make sure all of match has a thin coating of wax repeat if necessary) now repeat with another match till you have the amount of matches you wish waterproofed

How many times will each disposable lighter light, do you know? I bought a couple at the start of prepping, but concentrated on matches. I think it's a good idea to have both lighters and matches, but have never actually used a lighter.lonewolf wrote:50 disposable lighters cost £6.99 on Ebay!!
