Foil packed drinks......

Post by Yorkshire Andy »

aimlessly walking about doing the weekly shop i came across these on offer in Farm food.. £4 for 20 200ml Caprisun drinks....

not sure if they are a good idea but nice and easy to stash and wont roll about like cans in the car boot.....

and much cheaper than the "survival water" pouches which retail at about £5 for 500ml

These are good, always had in the car when out with the little folks, how good are the dates on them? Not bought for years!

Haven't had them since I was kid, but even then if I remember correctly there is not much juice in each pouch.

If its for keeping in the car, I would just stick with normal 2L bottles.

They are good to stash though, can be frozen to keep food cool in the car (think picnic time) not much waste either and no sticky cups to deal with, a couple are enough to quench my thirst. I'm stashing cans/mini bottles of fizz which are cheap from home bargains. Makes a change from water and also got some Robinson's squirts and bolero sachets stashed.

A 2l bottle still rolls about can pop these behind bits of trim and in cubby holes in the car I do carry a 2l bottle of water but its a pain trying to secure it was just thinking outside the box as it were for compact storage especially if you only drive a super mini rather than a big hulking 4x4 or similar...

managed to put 6 of them in my car in previously unoccupied / unusable space

The ones I have are showing a 12 month life on the bbe just handy to have if you end up stuck on a closed motorway say due to an accident on a hot summers day without the luxary of air con ...
