As wood heat is our primary source, I try to make it as user- friendly as poss. for the ladies of the house. So plenty split and under cover, well in advance.

Nice one, I to my shame have not added to my woodpile for a year

Mind you it was too mild last winter to even fire up the woodburner

Today I did a home bargains/wilko prepp shop. Got so many tins, packets and jars and remembered to get two tin openers AND bring them home with me, hurrah!! 8-)
I also got two big 13ltr plastic boxes for storing goodies in at the top of my sons wardrobe, filled up a tin with antihistamines, another with ibuprofen and just 4 packs of paracetamol as they only let you buy two at a time. :x
All logged in excel and stashed away. :D
Got three more Kilner clip top jars and plastic air tight spaghetti container.

Lots of pastas now in the freezer to then go into jars with oxygen absorbers.

Feeling very pleased with myself now and my stash is now getting rather large! Which makes me feel so much calmer and happier. :D

Got some banana chips and dried cranberries, should I freeze these before storing, like we do pasta and rice?? :?:

Thanks. My burners ARE my heat source. To be fair though, We didn't burn as much as previous years.

Went through all my kit and spent some time replacing the stuff that's either run out or looked like it was on the verge of needing burial rites.
Now have a new Trangia, headtorch, blast match, compass and some replacement carabiners.

Oh and bought a couple of keysmarts because I hate bunches of keys.

Back from holiday ( took my 2yrs old on her first camping trip) and found a letter with 64gb mini sd card. Took it a month to get from China so I totally forgot about it. I have my postSHTF library on the phone now and still 55 gb free space.

Large packets of spices for a £1 and for £2, massive packs of lentils. All major supermarkets have stock in.

Ramadan runs until 27 July.

I would have to travel a fair distance to get to any supermarkets in an Asian area, I used to get a guy from work to bring them in for me, nuts are also really good during Ramadan big bags cheap! But alas no longer working so I can't get any. :(
