Hi everyone.
We had a good thread last week about a Petzl head torch and how powerful it is etc.
Just thought I'd mention a torch at the other rnd of the scale.
We all like a good, reliable, powerful torch and they are an essential really. The problem is that when using one we can also be seen from miles away.
When I'm bivvied up I use a cheap(£9.99), angle headed torch. The one I use has 12 led lights in it. 3 for white light. 3 for green, 3 for red and 3 for blue. The white light itself is not really a beam! More of an ambient light. I normally use the green light however and this casts enough light to do most tasks and yet not give your position away to anyone even relatively close by. I've been using this for years and although it takes 6 AAA batteries, they last ages.

Sorry again! Don't have a clue lol. Bought it years ago in an army and navy store. I got it a bit wrong though. Only one led light for each of the colours which is adeal really. 3 lights for the white light.
I'm gonna research angle headed torches now. I'm sure I'll find it, then I can give you more info.

Its a web-tex led multi colour angle torch/flashlight. Only difference is that it now uses 2 AA Batteries which is much better. It's now 11.90 on e-bay.
I'd recommend it.

Looking at getting a fenix pd35, hopefully in the next few weeks, not 'that' cheap at around £55, but sodding bright, small enough to be used as a EDC, has six power levels and is waterproof down to around six feet or so.
