I have to point out that the 40 tins of baked beans aren't the only thing in my larder

But freely admit naked flame lighting of the toilet area is not something you'd risk ;)
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Good point Galen, i had never thought of being away from my supplies, i think i would back away from any possible trouble, and see if there were any other place with food (smaller shops etc) rather than risk being caught up in mob anarchy, pet food thing, as said, if you were hungry enough, think of 'Mad Max 2', was it called Dinky Dog food he was eating???

G'day Dusty,

I'm glad you get where I'm going with this. And yeah, Mad Max was eating 'Dinky Di' dog food ... 'dinky di' is a colloquial expression in Aus meaning 'real' or 'genuine'.
It's a cruel world.

True
This is another useful little piece of information to tuck away to possibly use in an unknown future

Just a little something to throw in to the mix.
Remember all the trouble with mad cow disease? And there came a human form of that disease which I don't have a hope of spelling but it goes summat like this, Croyzfelt Yakobs disease. Anyway, when a human was diagnosed with the disease, health officials would interview the person and one of the questions asked would be, "have you ever eaten any dog food"?
Just some food for thought.
Saying all that though, I would eat it rather than starve. At least I'd still be alive to worry about the other

A mouth full is variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease :? It is also very similar to a disease called Kuru in Papua New Guinea where the cannibal tribes ate the brains of the dearly departed. Nice, give me a tin of chum every time  or not :(

It does make the dog food seem like a reasonable option now lol.
I never knew that Decaff. I do know that the warm brains of monkey are a delidacy in Vietnam. Scooped straight out of the head so I'm told! Although not sure if that's an exaggeration.
Thanks for the correction with the spelling.
