Hi all

Newbie here based in Cheshire, I'm in my early 30's with an OH and two young children. I'm fairly active despite being sat on my derriere in an office job all day and have a keen interest in rock climbing, martial arts and various 'outdoor pursuits'. Still very new to the prepping world but hoping to get up to speed quickly and bounce a number of ideas off you guys. I work as a Project Manager so planning for the worst case scenario is a daily thing for me! With the kids I'm realistically looking at a bug in scenario for as long as humanly possible but I have a few potential BOL's in mind and have slowly accumulated the basics of a bug out bag.

Why am I prepping? Why wouldn't you in today's society? With the change of climate we've been experiencing and the increase of adverse weather such as floods, the big freeze and regular gale force winds knocking out power (not to mention causing a serious fire very close to home recently) it's nothing if not a sensible approach to be considering the real world implications of what could happen and how it could impact you. The recent economic upheaval, riots and civil disorder certainly point towards the potential for S to seriously HTF within our lifetimes and with a young family I want to be in the best position to cope that I can be.

And of course there's the zombies... :-)

So that's me. Looking forward to speaking to you all
