Standard advice if you break down on a duel carriageway or motorway is to get away from the car and carriageway watching emergency bikers last night the AA had told a motorist stuck in lane one they would be an hour and a half by the time they turn up youd be frozen on a snowy sleety winters night

A cool prep. I can see that it's more for practical prepping as opposed to SHTF so it doesn't really matter that it's blue. Is it quite durable? I have visions of shutting it in the rear door of my car

Its heavyish tent nylon
Protex 70 Denier polyester flysheet is a highly waterproof, durable and reliable fabric that will keep you dry and comfortable, and it's exclusive to Vango
Argos do a thirty day returns policy try one ;)

I plan to dump the steel poles for one of the basha teliscipic ones as its the Poles that make it heavy. The tarp itself folded is no bigger than a regatta stuff sack waterproof jacket
