Hi James,
Isn't it an eye opener?
I don't live in England anymore but.. We have frequent power outages here on Vancouver Island and I'd only just finished telling a prepper mate that the OH and I were "all the gear - no idea" when we had a storm and the lights went out and I'm trying to figure out where the hell the flashlights are ( 3 had no batteries!) so we Can then figure out the oil lamps, while the kids are crying , which is making the dog bark and whine.

I've got my s?@t figured out now though. I go overboard with redundancies too... Regular cooker, charcoal BBQ, Solar Oven, outdoor fire pit, etc....

Is there such a thing as being too prepared. Well done on making it through 6 weeks. You're ahead of the game already.
