Far more cost effective and efficient to buy a USB Solar charger and a small wood/bio fuel stove.
Re: Biolite Campstove
Yep - I have one. Used it once - was a pain in the ass! Now it's in the emergency alternative cooking sources section of the shed.
Drained the battery on my blackberry instead of charging it but we could charge the iPod while making a cuppa
Pro's and cons to this bit of kit but in an emergency - I'd rather have it than not.

Yeah im looking for a small wood/bio stove myself.
As for charging I still want to give Briggs contraption a go!

Ive seen a video on youtoob of an ikea cutlery drainer stove, it seemed pretty decent. I however went for one of these, due to it folding up:

Re: Biolite Campstove
I found the folding stove very faffy to use - constantly feeding it with tiny chips of wood while trying not to knock the precariously-balance cup of hot water off the top. I'd prefer a cutlery drainer with a couple of skewers any day. Let us know how you get on with it.
