Hi CC - They are £30 cheaper than the same spec set that I bought from Argos,
Have been looking to add a couple more to my two, let me know what you think of them should you get them please.
Have been toying with the idea of a homebased CB system, used to be very popular 25/30 years back and the prices seem to have got cheaper since then, anybody else using them?

Just bumping this thread as they went on sale today. I picked up a set and will let you know what they are like to use (from a total newbies pov) tomorrow if I get time
Just a quick update on these if anyone is thinking of getting them. I havent had time to test them properly but range wise they work well at 300meters distance in a built up area (lots of houses between the two sets). I tried it at 1.5 miles (when i got to work) but they couldnt cope with that distance...flat land but quite a few buildings in the way. I will try and do some more testing over the weekend
I have been looking at a few pmr forums since i got them and their feelings are that they are a bargain.
They run off 4 AAA rechargeable batteries (supplied) and come with a docking station that you put the handsets in to recharge so you dont have to remove the batteries. As they are just single AAA batteries you can also use normal batteries to power the units as well. The charge in the batteries seems to last a fair amount of time, I have been playing with the sets most days and they still show as fully charged.
I will do a proper review of them at some point but thought I would let you know what they were like while you still have a chance to purchase them
One bit of info which isn't mentioned in the blurb is they have both CTCSS and DCS features which is a plus.
I tested the range a bit better today, I left MrsCC at home with one set while I took the dog out for a walk with the other. I took the dog down to the river and walked along it for about a mile and a half and had good reception all the way. The land was flat so that helped but there were some obstructions as well, at least 2 rows of houses and a Wood directly between the two sets. At 1.5 miles there was a bit of crackle but still perfectly usable.
I've been using cobra radios as my CQ coms, I've got 2 MT600s which effective range is a mile to a mile and a half and 2 MT975's which have a range of about 3 miles (depending on terrain). they all work on the same net.
I've also started investing in a CB system, am getting a good base unit going, then installing a smaller one in my vehicle.
