@ Stasher. I chainsaw quite a bit and Rearfang is right, chainsaw trousers and protective kit is designed to jam and stall the chain, for example, my trousers are rated to stop a 20m/s chain. They offer no protection to a stabbing action, no more than thick clothes do.

Can't see it stopping a 308 though, Winchester fmj 150 grain has a muzzle felocity of 2820 fps and most jackets available are designed to stop pistol calibre rounds. Luckly not many people carry 308 rifles

My bad, It doesnt protect against 308 rifle,That was on another vest I was looking at not this one ...... it does stop .357/equivalent or lesser threat.

if you thinking of buying one always go one size up than you think you would be.

I'm 6'2" , 48" chest ..... I ended up with an XXL fits really good, if I had of gone for the XL there would be no way it would have fitted.
