My name`s Red Doe (well, not really, but I ain`t giving out my real name online, at least til I get to know ye`s a bit better

) and I live in the far north west Highlands.
I rent a croft which at the moment is non working (entirely due to finances) but keep a flock of hens for eggs and meat and an elder Border Collie ... not for meat or anything except she is mad and selectively deaf and great company!

I`m really interested in prepping without any fanaticism, I`m a practical woman who would like to be able to say she can turn her hand to anything but in reality, I`m terminally clumsy, absent minded (blame the menopause, I do!) and skint to the point of having to notch her belt so many times the holes are almost at the buckle! So can`t afford any fancy dehydrators, canners or the like, sadly. Because I would really like them!

Yes, it snowed overnight and it`s white out there!

Looks pretty, but very very cold, brrr....
