Hi from London

Post by kernewek »

Good to find this site. Hoping to pick up lots of good info. I'm originally from Cornwall but am now living in London for my sins. I've always been interested in outdoor activities like camping and am one of those people who tries to be ready for the unexpected but not to any major extent like having several weeks full of food supplies. I'm interested in prepping because sometimes I think we have a bit of a sense of false security in the UK. There's so much instability in the world and yet we think we're isolated from it. Not sure if it's the island mentality or something.

Hello Kernewek, welcome to the forum. What do you think your main area of preps might be, a bit more food and water first, first aid? Hope you enjoy looking around.

Probably food, water and home security. Know a reasonable amount of first aid already through being in St Johns a few years back and courses at work.

St Johns is a great start across the board, I wish I had that practical experience - have you found some of the Emergency Medicine websites for preppers now? There's a huge amount of info there (and I've recently updated my bookmarks  ) shout if you want a list of linkies ...

Home security ... so important, isn't it. Bit by bit.
