It's to do with chemicals leeching into the water from the plastic bottles. Personally, not something that would be too high up my list of worries if TSHTF.

Water is number 2 on my very long priority list ! If local water sources become contaminated then you will be very happy to have pre-stocked water or the ability to de-contaminate your supply. Both are a must I believe

Shouldn't really on anyones list of worries even Non-SHTF

Thanks forge for that link. It clears up a lot of rubbish posted about plastic food containers.
