Hi
I used to be a member back in 2011, recent Ebola scares have made me start planning ahead again (Got a bit lazy to be honest).
I do have some supplies, but very disorganised (Thats this weeks plan, to sort them out!)
Based in West Midlands and looking for help and advice

You know the drill, as a former member, check out the bits of the forum you're interested in, pitch in. Look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, there may be a few cardboard boxes with 'random' stuff piled in....Arzosah wrote:Hi Blue, welcome back storage is so important, isn't it, storage and knowing whats *in* storage

Plus a couple of plastic boxes stuck under the need that 'may' need sorting...
It's Ebola that is scaring the cr@p out of me right now, not because of any media frenzy, just because I've been reading a lot about it.
I'm looking for a good guide on what to purchase to protect myself and family. With limited finances, I am prepared to put a bit on the credit card, but need proper advise, no point purchasing things that turn out not to actual work (Like Army surplus respirators, surplus NBC suits etc)
What daily precautions to take, both now and in the event it starts to appear in the UK.
I've not found much on here about it yet.
Re: Hi All
Hello!! Welcome back!
I've been doing a bit of digging with regards to this Ebola lark as well. I rekon moving to Barbados for a couple years would stand you a good chance of avoiding it.

The only thing more valuable than the things you carry, is knowing how to make and maintain them.

Hello and welcome back. The question you must ask yourself is how far do I go? I think sensible precautions are hand sanitizer , gloves, Bleach and avoid physical contact with strangers. Full Biohazard suits is probably a step further than most would consider unless you work as a resilience volunteer.
