I think many of the established members on here prep for many different things not just one thing.

These include bad weather, unemployment, ill health, problems with utilities eg power cut/ no water etc, zombie invasion :tinfoil

Ebola is on the radar of many preppers as was swine flu, bird flu and the annual man flu!!! ;) Many of our preps are interchangeable and most preppers have plans to cover many scenarios. Some plan to bug in and some plan to bug out.

Hope that answers your question.

I need to prep for infectious diseases every winter - I'm very prone to viruses, I get a couple of low grade ones every year, that lay me low for up to six months :( I've bought more surgical level stuff, but thats all - a lot of my preps are about making sure I don't need to go shopping during flu season for more than fresh food, to minimise potential viral load :( I've done that for about 3 years now. The things I'm doing will definitely help if/when ebola makes it to these shores.

Interesting about making money online! Your sort of luck is the "the harder I work, the luckier I get" sort of luck :D congratulations. Without compromising your anonymity, what field is that in?

NB remember what hobo said about the baby - prep for the baby (depending on due date, up to six months of age too)! Mind you, you've emphasized water filtration equipment, thats a good idea.

Specifically for Ebola...not a thing. It's not likely I'd ever be able to afford Hazmat suit etc and there is a fair possibility my job is going between now and Xmas, which won't help. The general preps most of us do in here will cover me in a lockdown situation (I won't be bugging out) - so there isn't anything I can do other than watch the situation at the moment.
Any clues about how to earn money on line would be most appreciated!

specifically for ebola - I just ordered some nitrile gloves, surgical masks, basic eye protection, shoe covers and hand sanitizer. I intend to use them if there are any local cases and I need to venture out.
