Looks and sounds very similar to the Gas pack Biscuits we fed to the dogs at one time. Came in large tins army rations from I don't know when.
They went well with a cup of tea so the dogs didn't get them all. LOL.
Yes they describe them as similar to Rich Tea biscuits...

Mind you I wonder what the expiry dates are on Rich Tea?? I will have a check next time I'm shopping.
