I bought an unbranded Q5 LED torch from Amazon a couple of weeks ago as per someone's recommendation on this forum. Even with a standard AA battery it is very bright. You will not be disappointedTrawlerman wrote:Been out today and picked up 2 x Foldable Water Bottles for £1 each from Poundstretchers

Made 5.5 lbs of marmalade, for the freezer I made lasagne, a cheesy chive bread, banana bread and currently have a big pan of plums waiting to jarred in syrup. Boiled a couple of chicken carcass from the freezer down to make stock which will be bagged up to go into the freezer for when I want a soup base.

Marmalade and sloes, yum ...
And I've just realised that tonight, Bonfire Night, we have a full moon, more or less. In the immortal words of NYPD Blue or whatever it was, lets be careful out there
My prepping is all research related at the moment, and through it I've found out that a long-time web friend is a prepper, these 10 years past. I'm very chuffed

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Not done much this week ordered a pure sine wave inverter to replace my 300w one as it creates RF interference trying to run a tv or radio and causes led bulbs to buzz
and got one of these

£20 in lidl (Justified i needed it based on camping with electric hook up (( save on bottled gas and safer, no flame or Carbon monoxide or leaking gas))) and handy if they turn the gas off ironic really as i came home and reported a gas leak next door to national grid

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Bought another portable gas heater with 15kg bottle. It's mainly to keep me toasty in my workshop but is also there as contingency for the central heating. Very happy to have picked up such a nice unit for £40 including the (empty) bottle. I get refills (exchange) for £30. I now have 4 bottles, 2 of which are full. Only one in the house at any time as safety precaution.
