hello again

Post by omega man »

Hi all (again),
I have actually been a member here for a year or two but for some reason after not having internet access for a month or two my account seems to have vanished :( Shame really because I liked my original introduction post, and had clocked up quite a few posts....

Mods.. can you tell me why this has occurred and can my original account/profile be salvaged? If not no worries I'll just have to be a noob again.

Cheers

Hello again! I cannot personally help with the technical side of things, but I am sure one of my moderator colleagues will have a look in due course. We have a lot of new members since you last visited, so if you could give us a brief idea of what you are preparing for, we would be grateful.

Thanks Jansman ;) I guess our youthful panics of 'yesteryear' are well and truly over i.e zombies, alien invasion and asteroid impact   Tin foil hats no longer fit!

The issues we feel that are prep-worthy proper include unemployment, health problems, social degradation, economic collapse, weather related emergency and the like..

We are in cahoots with a few experienced preppers local to us and have been for a few years, We have detailed and practiced Bug in/out plans with comms in place too..(the small group within about a 20mile radius)

There is just the Wife and I (early 30's) we enjoy the outdoors and are frequent campers, interested in bush craft, self sufficiency and earth friendly technologies in general. with no religious nor political inclinations. I guess we are prep veterans now but like to keep our 'hand in' and are ever aware that there is always something to learn and the word 'covert' is king!

Welcome back omega man.

As far as I know there is an inbuilt automatic system that will deactivate the accounts if they have not been active for a while.
I don't believe it deletes any posts/threads you might ave made the previous time.

Hope that helps.
