yeah defo need to shop around for copper.that old iron piping already has threaded ends but id worry about working with it and also erosion though its from
1940s ish and has lasted well.....which makes u think...why didn't more central heating systems use steel piping?!
going to do rough 1st fix tomorrow to see best way of doing it.
