New Member from South Coast

Post by DougieH »

Hi, read an article in the paper recently about prepping for Ebola, and thought I would look into what prepping entails. And it makes a lot of sense. I have only just started storing food, about 2 weeks worth. Been reading on here for a week or two and wasn't sure if I could get registered. I'm ex RAF, love shooting , fishing and archery. Boiled water on a coke can stove after reading about how to make it on here. We have open fires so I can light a fire though up to now I've used matches. Enjoy camping and also, making things instead of buying them. Prepping for normal stuff like, floods, power cuts etc but am aware that things can go downhill rapidly. Lots to learn and hopefully I can contribute something that may be of use to others. Thanks for having me.

DougieH,
Welcome to the forum.
It's good that you looked around the forum before committing to joining, if the media snoopers did likewise they would notice the zombie thing is a tad tongue-in-cheek

I look forward to seeing your forum contributions in the future.
Again, welcome and enjoy your time here.

Welcome Dougie, sounds good. I love that you experimented with the coke can cooker straight away - little things like that can make such a difference. Having a hot drink on a winter's day ... welcome.

Thank you for the welcome. Been round the charity shops an found an old stainless steel flask. So making the stove from that is my next experiment. Doug
