mil-tec multi purpose waist/hip pack
mil-tec multi purpose waist/hip pack
I recently bought the mil-tec multi purpose pouch. It is available on Amazon for around £20 inc postage. It would be very handy as a small get home bag or EDC. There are 2 pouches on the side that easily fits a medium sized torch in one and multi tool in the other. There is a zip pouch on the front where I keep a couple of glow sticks and plan on keeping copies of documentation for me and the family. There are 2 very small/discreet zip pockets which would hold some emergency cash and or water purification tabs. The main pocket would comfortably hold a family size packet of crisps (think Sensations crisps) I will be putting self heating rations, bottle of water, foil blankets, batteries etc. All Velcro and stitching is good and strong. Waist strap is a bit too big for my 5 year old but expands to far larger than I require. The strap which goes around your thigh is very comfortable and does not chafe. It can be removed and the pack can be worn as a sort of prepped handbag

Not a bad looking thing for a drop-leg

That's the exact one. Might not be everyone's thing and looks a little bit Lara croft, but I think its a great job for the money. Would it be something you would consider buying and what would you use it for?

I've not used a drop-leg system as yet, but I'm a big believer in belt pouches, bum-bags, Possibles and other 'extra pockets' for carrying the stuff that you really can't be separated from.
If I ever decide to try this load carry that is probably the one I would go for, I really like the extra zipped pockets on the belt and lid and the flat slip pocket on the front.
Its sort of like an American ammo pouch, but with better closers

I had never used a drop leg system before, but I can't say many negative things about this. The zip pockets on the belt and top flap are very small. This would be the only negative points for this piece of kit, but nothing can everything can it? I would say buy it- for the sake of £20 you can't go wrong. The wife thinks I'm mad and doesn't tolerate me wearing it in the house- but she's not cool like us lot!

Hi all,
I found that the Snugpak response bag is good, only £17.85 on Amazon.
