Hi Guys
My name is Waz, im a Newbie Prepper from Sheffield.
Started to look into prepping a few months ago. My motivation to get into prepping is the current economic climate and if it gets any worse society as a whole could go abit Pete Tong. Along with this Adverse weather conditions, like those in the US could mean that we end up having to fend for ourselves etc. Have been looking at Woodlands for sale around the area and also looking at putting a plan/strategy together for an emergency.
Here to learn and if i can help just ask.

Welcome,
Current economic climate is a thing to keep an eye on prepping-wise.
Woodland is a good idea but when I was looking I found it was around the 11 grand an acre, a lot for an area a bit maller than a footie pitch.

I hear what you are saying on the cost front. Would love to be able to get enough land somewhere off the beaten track to be able to bury a couple of containers and set something up around them.

Welcome, I would love my own woodland too, or abandoned quarry/ old railway line but as has been said it aint cheap, you might be better speaking to local farmers directly rather than looking on the net as almost everything small I see on line is well and truely overpriced and a lot of larger areas have been split again into smaller lots along with a 'quiet enjoyment' clause you have to sign basically limiting what you can do on your own land.
There are a couple of threads on here about burying containers already I think the general consensus was its not really a good idea as they aren't designed for that type of loading on them, there are alternatives to be considered though.
