Re: Car BOB
got both in the van, bigger BOB is more like a 48 hour bag with food, water and and sleeping kit in case I need to doss down on the walk home. The smaller bag is a civilian commuter type and will keep me on the go for 24 hours, contents are not designed for camping, just being mobile. I have 2 bags in case I get separated from the main one, have to give it up or drop it and run.

Re: Car BOB
Bag ready in car with enough food for 12 hours.
Re: Car BOB
I use my 4x4 for everyday driving, and its geared for sleeping in,so is always equipped with everything I need for staying outdoors. I use it for fishing, rabbiting overnight, summer and winter,so its always ready to go.Too small for putting in anything permanent,cooker/sink etc, which I have seen in others, but I have a few of those black plastic lidded containers you can get from poundstretchers, with everything in,so if I need it for carrying other stuff around temporary, its easy enough to switch things around.
Re: Car BOB
We'll I'll admit I don't have an actual BOB in the van as such. I've got the components shall we say in there but not all in one place. There's water , a little food , blankets , wet weather gear and so on and I have a small kit bag that normally houses a radio/CD player ( well I am a builder) which if necessary could all be pulled together. For most of the time I'm not more than 15 miles from home anyway except when I'm off re-enacting in which case there is usually far more stuff loaded in the van.

Re: Car BOB
My BOB is in my under-the-stairs cupboard as I work for the family business so am rarely more than 2.5 miles from home. It would take half hour at most to get from office to home on foot.
I don't keep my BOB in my car as my car is a complete shed and if SHTF I would steal someone elses
