Re: portable washing machine
Will it fit in the wife's BOB
Joking aside,
We were looking at those a year ago when we thought about buying woodland and building a non-permanent cabin as a bolt-hole.
There is nothing worse than having dirty, smelly clothes to bring down the mood where a change into something clean is a mood booster.
Good thing to have as a backup in any case.

Tut tut wulf!!!! now you know she would make you carry it
Its very cutesy and reminds me of something I had in my Wendy House as a girl!! Would like to see it in action and to get a better idea of the size. Agree about clean clothes, can't beat feeling clean IMO

I've seen a great hand cranked version, a trough shape with a handle, utube "dasher washer" and you will see what I mean. I can't do the link on my tablet!

My Mother and her husband are keen caravanners. They bought one of these but soon sold it on. It was not that good in their opinion.

http://victorians.swgfl.org.uk/themes/p ... llyobj.htmthey would have to chop mine down a bit as I'm too short to use one of these...or Mr D could do the washing instead, which I would prefer if we had to go that basic!!

My father was a council worker and his overalls would get quite dirty. Mother didn't like putting such filthy clothes in her washing machine , I suppose she was thinking of the sludge gumming up the machinery , so my father would use a dolly outside to get the worst out. In times of need I " washed" things by threading them in the bath which is about as basic as one can get
