Hello all,
Not sure I can call myself a prepper, I've always been fascinated by prepping and I've watched a lot of documentaries about it.
I do collect things I think will be useful for when the SHTF, which could be anything from bandages to giant plastic containers for water storage.
Most of my prepping plans are in my head, although if I had the means necessary I would definitely take a more active approach.
I'm also a filmmaker, (although it doesn't pay the bills just yet) my first film was a zombie horror that was released in the UK on DVD in 2013 and comes out in America in June. I'm really interested the whole life after the apocalypse scenario, and i'm currently writing my next film which centres around a father and son prepper that seal themselves in after an alien invasion. The script has thrown up all sorts of questions about what my characters would do in various situations and i'm hoping I might be able to have some questions answered by the members on this forum.
Anyway thanks for reading!

Welcome!
Sounds like you're at a similar stage to me, I know a lot about being prepared but sadly not much of it has been put into action yet.
What is your film called? If you don't mind me asking.

Welcome from Bedfordshire as well. The movie idea sound a bit interesting.

Thanks for the welcome, nice to know there are similar people to myself on the forum.
No I don't mind at all, I probably should have said the title of my film in my OP, as you can tell I'm a great salesman!
My film was called 'The Dead Inside' in the UK and has been renamed 'Infected' for the American release, god knows why!
Thank you, it's good to hear I'm not the only one who finds my film ideas interesting haha! I'd be keen to make contact with preppers in the area, having an advisor would be a huge help if I manage to get my film funded and into production.

Hello and welcome. If you could stick to discussing prepping, rather than promoting your film-making we would be grateful. We get a lot of new members who use the forum as a platform for all sorts of commercial activities, and this is frowned upon. Thankyou.
