Thanks for all the kinds words. I'm really glad to see that people are interested in the write ups and progress photos. Our lamb still has shown its little head yet but as soon as it does I will be sure to update. I do have a few more plans going forward but for the most part maintaining and digging over is where we are at now.

I'm going to be doing some bits this week, however my grandmother passed away on Saturday so my focus is elsewhere at present helping with arrangements.

So we have some big news on the allotment/smallholding front. Our first lamb has now been born and will be coming to the farm relatively soon. For now he is staying close to mum and his sibling. We have decided to name him 'Chop' (I know I know but it keeps our mind fixed on what his existence is for)

I have also picked up a self fertilizing cherry tree which I will be pot planting in honour of my late grandmother and it will have pride of place on our decking at the BOL.

Such a cute photo! And yes, whenever I hear of animals being raised for slaughter, the big no-no is giving them a name! At least the name you've given is appropriate

my favourite name for Lambs is Mint Sauce. Many, Many years ago there was a children's TV entertainer called Shari Lewis and she had a glove puppet of a lamb called Lamb Chop,

A small update from us as we have been quite busy in recent weeks with everything going on.

We have all of our seedlings coming on strong now and are due to be pricking out and transplanting within the coming few weeks.

I have identified a problem which I now need to overcome with a solution. In the vast heat recently the some plants in the polytunnels have suffered from heat wilt, even on the days it has cooled down and rained. I put this down to the fact that even though we water thoroughly, the plants in them aren't getting any water even on the rainy days.

I am now going to put together a rain water catchment, gravity fed irrigation system which will make the most of watering the plants inside when I am not there.

I will chart this progress as we go and list my developments in the coming days/weeks
