Cheap tip for the relief of SUNBURN

Post by Tizzie »

Just smother yourself in plain yoghurt. If you still have it on when you go to bed when you wake up it will have fallen off you like little breadcrumbs. Haven't a clue why it works. This has been proven by myself when it happened to me and my husband said he was going to get me some. Yes quite right I laughed and poo pooed it but was in a lot of pain and would try anything as my after sun wasn't touching it. When I very gently put it on the pain relief was indescribable. Has anyone else tried this?

Tizzie, I have moved this to the most appropriate thread as this forum is for suggestions regarding the forum itself, not prepping suggestions.

I have absolutely no doubt that the remedy you suggest works. Thanks for sharing! :D however, there is a cheaper way still. Do not get sunburn in the first place. I say this as a bald headed fella! Sunburn hurts. :(
In the Navy we had a saying," What do you do if you get caught in the leeward side of a storm? You don't get in that position in the first place!"

Rubbing a cut tomato on the sunburn also helps, bit more practical in some situations than yoghurt.

I was an RO(SM) and a couple of different job titles when they rebranded us but it was pretty much the same thing. You're better off going deep than riding out bad weather when it gets lumpy though dude I've tried skimmers and I've tried boats, all the good looking lads were on boats.
