Got lots of bits and pieces for little in poundland and tesco clearances, Windup torch, compass, plastic boxes, first aid stuff(bought better quality of some things for main store). Meant I could have things in different places, windup torches in every room, car, shed etc.

Charity shops are great too. got a like new pair of Berghaus boots for £5! Auctions can be good for "old" equipment and tools. Got a small, old but working electric butter churn for £5, all I need now is the milking cow!(working on it) :D

Maybe we should have a new topic of this weeks GENUINE best buys although I have noticed that some supermarkets do not have the same deals nationwide this would give a heads up to the rest of us when someone comes across something. I know i've gone out looking after someones mentioned something of interest to me on this site and given a review of how good or bad it was.
oohhh you lucky thing for finding all those bargains! especially that milk churn! I have a hand crank mixer for when I make butter, and my God my arms ache! it's why I don't make it very often lol. I love the weekly best buys idea too! we should definitely do it :D

Yours works with no electric power so I reckon you got the better deal, think about it. :P

Tesco Pharmacy is great ;) rather than pay over the odds for fancy retail boxed stuff go ask there first ours has boxes of "crap" behind the counter they will sell steri strips "loose" by the sterile pack , finger cots, bandages, strips of fancy dressings such as jellonet for example
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine
