I suppose I've been into prepping since the industrial action in the 70s. Mum had a camping gaz stove so we were able to heat tins of soup and eat them by candlelight. It made a big impression on me
I moved to a remote village 30 years ago. The first winter we were snowed in for a week. After that I made sure I had at least a couple of weeks' worth of supplies. We also regularly had power cuts lasting up to a week, so I learned to be prepared for those too.
