http://spservices.co.uk/ were always very good. Not used them for a few years but I can't imagine they have changed too much.

Cheers guys,
I was using something like this for a while
'http://www.alloutdoor.co.uk/survival-ki ... wwod-1QAZw'
However, when dealing with one of my lower sixth who cut his head open against a desk made me realise the limitations of this kit namely the lack of dressings ( it says 10 in that link, more like 2 ) and if I was to build my own from the ground up I would know exactly what was in there and where.

These guys have a lot of the more specialised kit.
http://medtree.co.uk/?gclid=CPWptpOZ3cUCFe7HtAodIQIAmg
They also have the 5.11 store in the unit next door.
http://tactree.co.uk/?gclid=CLHwruyZ3cUCFQH3wgodpw0AVg
Neither are cheap but it's good kit.

Speaking from a lot of experience of dealing with wide variety of cuts, gashes, breaks and scrapes in all sorts of weird and wonderful places, don't rely on one of the pre-packaged first aid kits.
Build your own and tailor it to your requirements!
Most first aid kits are missing important things like:
Big wound dressings - great if you get a deep cut or something that's bleeding a lot. Slap one on and get them to help.
Saline for wound washing - You can get small bottles of saline that are good for washing crap out of cuts and grazes
Big bandages/large slings - If you get someone who has fallen and broken a leg etc and you are having to wait a long time for help, strapping one leg to another or a broken arm to the body can make things a lot more comfortable.
One addition if you spend any time in the outdoors is a sam splint. Great bit of kit.
Add to that a bag of pills, potions and lotions and you are getting somewhere close. Having some Imodium or anti allergy tablets can make a difficult situation a lot more comfortable.
Don't be tempted to go all tactical and get a big trauma kit. Unless you are a trained medic, all you are going to do is keep someone alive until help arrives. If its bleeding plug it, if its broken stabilise it, if they are not breathing get some air into them.

Paul Kirtley recently blogged on first aid kits, you can find it here http://paulkirtley.co.uk/2011/personal- ... t-aid-kit/

Re: FAK supplier
2 things I would recommend adding to a first aid kit are an aluminum SAM splint and QuikClot. I havent needed either yet but almost did when my dad cut himself with a chainsaw. The blade cut through his heavy work pants and slowed enough to just kiss his skin. He now has a nice scar running 6 or 8 inches just above his knee. I would have wanted a QuikClot dressing had it been any worse.
