Battery box

Post by dangerman »

Can anyone recommend anything better than this Numax battery box?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NUMAX-ACCUBOX ... 2c928482de

This seems expensive for what it is, but it seems to have everything I want - a vent, gauge, external terminals, 12v outlet.

Any ideas? I think if I tried a homemade type one it would end up messy if I didn't completely screw it up.

I think Yorkshire Andy is the man for this. :D
My son is (eventually!) going to make a box for my solar generator but it won't be as swish as that.

Does not come with external terminals but you could put some in if your handy with a drill and a few spanners, but it is quite a bit cheaper.

more funky version with usb

battery monitor

http://www.amazon.co.uk/douself-Battery ... tage+meter

(only three wires go to this one to battery live one to battery negative third wire goes to battery live via a push to make switch so you press button to "test" the battery and activate the display)

just need a thin bit of wire to wire the battery monitor up with

Ohh smart but careful measuring needed for the lid vs battery interference
