Evening all,

I'm a new prepper, having been interested for years, but now I have a family, I feel it's about time I started to be prepared. So I'm here to learn and get ready!

I'm looking forward to reading through the forum and learning from you guys.

I think my main concern at the moment is a loss if infrastructure, either through natural disaster (although they are reasonably rare in this country it seems) or cyber attack. As a computer scientist, I know how easy it is to compromise a computer in the right hands, and also how much we rely on IT to provide pretty much most, if not all, of our essential services.

So my plan is to slowly build up a supply of everything I need in order to be self-sufficient for about two weeks initially, hence why I've come here to find useful information on what to do/what I need etc.
