Hope you all are taking advantage of this perfect gathers weather!
We produce far more greens for the compost than we could use so we have a heap near the composter container. Snails of course love the stuff especially in wet weather, nothing can get my tummy rumbling like realise it's going to be jam packed with snails by the time I get home from work!
I'll let them detox over the weekend and tuck in Tuesday!
Plenty of lil' uns still in the pile for the next few weeks.
Can you really use regular snails for eating? I always assumed they were a special variety. Hmmmm I have enjoyed snails in the past with a bunch of garlic butter.
They taste like whelks if I remember correctly, they south of England used to be one of the biggest producers of snails in the world not sure if they still are

I can confirm that my allotment is still one of the largest producers of snails in the world
I thought to "clean" snails, you stood them in milk to clean them through for a couple of days, not that I've ever eaten them Uck, look like chewy varmits to me
Behind every great man is an even greater woman. She carried you, raised you and made you who you are.

I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.
