I find it hard to compute the idea of using food for fuel. Back in the mid 2000's growing crops for bio ethanol was a contributing factor to food poverty and inflation in poorer countries.

I suppose that at least with maize you've got a six foot stalk, all the leaves and a bunch of cobs to use.
