Water to go.
Water to go.
I was just woundering what peoples views are on these. The main drawback is the filter needs to be changed. I just got back from a European trip. I drank from flowing rivers, fresh water lakes, questionable streams. I have not become ill or had any problems.

I've got one, and I've never had any issues with it at all. Reasonably priced and works well. That said I think it's worth boiling water after filtering just to be on the safe side.

I've just had a look on the website...... I don't think theres anything left to boil to death after filtering.Grayman wrote:I've got one, and I've never had any issues with it at all. £8 per 200 litres is a little expensive though

Re: Water to go.
I would not disagree its not the cheapest option. But, its still a good addition to any kit just at the ease of use.

sawyer Mini Filter seem good value for treating water : https://sawyer.com/products/sawyer-mini-filter/
A lifetime of water at hand.”
Our most popular filter just got smaller and lighter. The Sawyer MINI Water Filter is rated to 0.1 micron absolute, weighs only 2 ounces, and filters up to 100,000 gallons! This award winning system is reliable and easy to use.
The MINI can be attached to the included collapsible drinking pouch, inline on a hydration pack, on a standard soda bottle, or simply use the included drinking straw to drink directly from the water source. How is that for versatility? Like all Sawyer filters, a proper backwashing can restore up to 98.5% of the filter’s flow rate. That means no expensive cartridges to replace, ever

Yeah, I'm just over cautious. There's no better way to ruin your day than a dose of dysentery.ForgeCorvus wrote:I've just had a look on the website......
