Hello from Scotland

Post by jkprepper »

Hi I`m new to prepping, I would like to learn new skills in self resilience rather than wait for external assistance. I also want to motivate my family to learn to become prepared confident people in any situation. I`m interested in prepping for social unrest situations. I feel that the world has always appeared as highly unstable place, however many of the worlds problems are now appearing on our door step. As UK citizens we are being exposed to many difficult situations. Riots, terrorism, financial collapse, over crowding etc ...etc. I feel that people are feeling uncertain about the world around them and that can lead to volatile panic reactions. I know prepping can seem a little bit pessimistic, however I think being prepared and feeling prepared can provide many practical and psychological advantages.

I don't think it's pessimistic at all, I think it's sensible and looking after yourself

Hey and welcome! :)

Where abouts you guys from Scotland from? I'm just outside Glasgow and wondering if like minded people from the area wanted to share ideas etc? I know there's a meets section, but never seems very successful there :/

Quite a few Scots in here now but we've never had a meet, they have talked about it a few times but it never happens. I think some of the prob is husbands and wives who aren't into it or don't know about it  I'm remote in the border hills, so for me anywhere is a bit of a trek.

I'm south Fife so I suppose the 'greater' Edinburgh area.
