still looking for a lantern in case of power cuts.
I have an old wind up lantern that has little blue lights however I'm struggling with the winding motion now as I have Ataxia and when we did have a powercut and I managed to wind it a bit I still struggled to see the fuse box with the 'blue light' it gives off.
I wondered if there were any rechargeable lanterns or lights that give off a more yellow light like old fashioned light bulbs (not the newer fancy shaped ones that last 10 yrs!.. the lights here are fitted with them and I have to use lamps plugged in to a dimmer switch as they give a better light!)
Does this model for example give off a yellow light or blue?

I think they maybe called Warm White or something but it doesn't say that in the description of them usually.
Thanks

'yellow light' lanterns
Re: 'yellow light' lanterns
Just a thought but you could simply put a pale yellow gel over the lamp? you can get sheets in theatre suppliers or some music shops that sell stage lighting.
