Ex Archive: Paracord..... a convenient length!

I do wonder about these ... I hardly ever wear jewellery, but I *do* think it's a good way to carry a piece of paracord on you. Thing is, I really, really can't envisage anything I'd use it for. Shoelace, yep, true ... tying something to my pack so I can carry it more easily ... Oh, when I bust my shoulder, I could've used it to help me tie a sling to support my arm?

You can use a short-ish piece to cut more paracord by sawing it back and fro (rather like a wire saw) it's melt its way through by friction, I've even seen a paracord bootlace used to cut through a cable tie once.

Thanks both! I made a pdf of the instructable, so I'll collect a piece of paracord from the stash over the weekend, and give it a go.

I've thought for a while that these bracelets are the sign of a prepper. I noticed one of the people who walks her dogs where I do had a paracord collar on her dog, straight away I thought her other half must be a prepper, she's mentioned things in passing that he likes the 'outdoors' etc. Probably cheaper to get one of these..

Perhaps it should be worn as an anklet, under trousers? Or something invisible round the neck, like a lanyard as Deeps mentioned? My imagination is going full tilt on this one now
