been practising with my electric waffle maker. Yes, my plan worked. I can prepare urid dal waffles ahead of time, freeze them and then thaw and toast them in the toaster when I need them. Works as a lovely change to toast to put the beans on.
Now I just got to get organised and make loads of them and tessellate them in the freezer somehow.
Its the getting organised thats the difficult bit.....

Used the little gas suitcase stove very impress with how easy it was didn't even need to find matches to light it as it has an automatic ignition I can even put in the gas canister in when it is almost dark :D (happy dance)

The wee briefcase cookers are brilliant, very quick to boil/heat stuff and as you say, simple to use. Fuels readily available too. Not sure I'd take one hill walking but horses for courses, I've got 2 of them and a load of spare gas for camping and 'just in case'. B&M are still flogging off 4 refill cans for 4 quid (or were last weekend).

Got a giant grinder of pink salt for the stash and another of everyday seasoning. Bargain prices in Poundstretcher £1.99 for 415g size.

More sponges and dish clothes added to my stash too. Have to say the hall cupboard does smell lovely with all the soap powders I have squirreled away 8-)

Need to get more air tight containers for stashing packets of mixes in.

I bought a new bike. It was only a cheapo from Halfords but I rode it home 7 miles and was reasonably impressed with it. I have re-found my love for cycling since the last time I rode a bike was when I was about 12 years old. A lot of things have changed since then as there are lots of cycle paths and trails around my way now which make it very easy to travel by bicycle. It started off a few weeks ago as a couple of leisurely bike rides with the other half and now I am out and about on it whenever I get the excuse to use it. Not bad considering I only started riding again because I was sorting out the shed and got tinkering with our old bikes!

They have some refills left in our local B&M but 2 less now....thanks for the heads up Deeps, I wouldn't have looked if you hadn't mentioned it.
