Hello from East Lancs...Land wanted.

Post by MJ2 »

Hi , I am new to this site and have come here mainly to see if there is anyone out there who owns a Farm or Land in East Lancashire or West Yorkshire, and would like to share the building of a ground/rock dug hide out for when all hell breaks loose above.I would not want any ownership just the right of use for my family if ever needed.Idealy I want to dig out of rock a tunnel that traps air when water is a threat to the land above, like a toilets u bend type of thing.
I strongly believe there is evidence all over the planet of a huge flood taking place in its past, if not a flood then a tsunami that can strip countries of there vegitaion/land.Something powerful in the past has ended civilisations and species of animals/humans.Dinosor fossils to oil and coal are all evidence IMO of a swept land and lakes of debri that would amount to become these things. Some ancient civilisations built underground cities for a good reason, and I guess thats because no where else above ground is safe.
If any one reading this has always wanted to do this but does not have the time or the energy, but has the land... then please get in touch, the sooner this is built the better ,but at the end of the day whatever is built ,it is done for ever, and the future generations of both our familys will be garunteed a safe place to hide.

Welcome to the site, that sounds a huge engineering task you have planned, how are you planning on replenishing the air if the bunker is submerged for a prolonged period assuming you would be relying on keeping it pressurised internally like a diving bell to keep the water out?

Hi, thanks for the welcome...It is a hard task but not so difficult if you have the time and energy, and experiance in ground works/ digging.
As for fresh air...I do not think if ever there was a flood that being underground for more than a few hours would be nessacery,so the air it would hold would hopefully do? My ideal place to dig would be as high above sea level as possible,my home now is 200m, and the surrounding area goes from 140 to 300 + m ...If a mile high wall of water came this way it would not pond the area for long, the landscape of valleys would soon disperse it back to the seas... the destruction of everything above ground would hopefully be over before the air run out.And if for some reason the water stayed put above my entrance/exit hole after the event, then I would hope conditions by then would be carm enough above to make a safe wet exit.
I would obviously research the air volume size needed for say 10 people for 6 hours and build the bunker to the size required, and look into air recyle systems ect if this idea ever got going.

The Flood/Tsnami thing is just what I think will 100% happen one day , for all other SHTF events this bunker would also be usefull if the entrance is hiden. The way I imagine things if it kicked off for anny reason is there being complete mayhem, rioting and burning down of peoples homes who stay put to fight...I would take my family and run and hide.

You can post on the site, but as with all new members, the first 10 posts (this does not include any in the 'new members start here' section, have to be moderated.
