sourcing your purchases on amazon?
Re: sourcing your purchases on amazon?
Thanks for the tip. I must admit I order a lot from China and Hong Kong on both eBay and Amazon but never considered looking at other countries.
I use this site to check all the Amazon prices for me

Saves doing it myself!

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Well, I checked it out after reading your post. Not sure what to think. It wants alot of personal information, which I never feel happy about divulging.Cougar wrote:Has anyone tried flubit, seen it advertised a lot recently.
You basically look online for something you want to buy, copy and paste the url into its search engine thingy and it then tells you its looking for better offers. Only problem is it takes 24 hours. If you want the results quicker you have to take their 'quiz' and give away all your personal info.
The usual stuff plus things like are you married, how many kids? Etc...
Dont think I want to give any of that out if i can help it.

Here's something some of you may have noticed on Amazon. I tend to add items that I'm interested in to my Wish List, not so others can buy me stuff, although that would be nice
Simply as a sort of shopping list together with a note of the price. I monitor these prices and buy when the price comes down. I have noticed though that often the price goes up the day after adding the item to my Wish List.
Being sceptical I assume when they see people are interested in an item they bump the price a little.

My prepping consists of bugging out by bicycle so any comments are likely to be based on that scenario.

Yes hoipoloi, I've noticed that with jackets, knives and a little wood stove I brought the other day. It sat on my wish list for a week or so while I looked at alternatives and when I came to buy it, it had jumped in price by a couple of pounds.

I use the wishlist in much the same way, one way round it is go back and look at similar things to the one on your wishlist, you might be able to get something very similar if not the same for less. The lists are always getting updated, some of the stuff on my wishlist is months old and out of stock.
