Hello and welcome from me too
that makes for me an interesting career path and outlook, I'd quite like to see your input on many of the existing threads.ex gamekeeper and British army vet now in law enforcement which means there will be a few topics that will get extra attention from me I'm sure

I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Re: hello
Hi
my youngest son did the gamekeeping course and worked for a year with our neighbour, he taught him to stalk deer and his idea of relaxation was going out with the Braemar Mountain Rescue. Handy sort of man to know - and a good source of venison

Re: hello
Thanks for the words of welcome
Being due to retire early next year should allow me to get back into the hunting, shooting fishing grove which links nicely onto the survival/prepping thing
My wife has recently completed a basket weaving course and we make lots of things from our garden preserves and stuff.
a neighbor of mine who lets me shoot and trap on his little bit of land has recently just finished building a small iron age round house which although is off topic is very much a traditional skills thing and although not over-useful right now could be used as a base later.
Its interesting to see how well it blends into the woodland and even the smoke coming through the roof rather than a hole doesn't give the distance game away.
Time to have around the topics
