I
We've got about a half dozen assorted cree torches/lamps, all from ebay, all work fine and have done for ages, they get knocked about in pockets, one lives under my drivers seat etc, for the money I think they are a bargin. Maybe I've been lucky but I've had no problems. Theres one with about 7 t6 leds, about the size of a coke can it's a bit big and heavy to carry all the time but the light output... well I compared it to my cars headlights on full bean, the torch was brighter. Mental, and I think I paid about a tenner for at the time.
One of those one I posted the link to is my EDC along with 2 spare AA's (mine was from ebay but the same model) and I carry 2 of the larger ones that use the T6 led and the 18650 battery in a small rucksack, along with my WP jacket and other EDC bits, they give a lot more light but the battery life is only about an hour maybe, whereas the little one is good for a few hours even with a cheap AA.
As someone who used to do a fair bit of caving I'm a bit anal about carrying multiple light sources, but I do go "off piste" so to speak and I still like exploring old tunnels and places, so you never know when a spare light iwill come in handy.

Just ordered a pack of these (6) for £13.99 Gowild® 6pcs Mini CREE Q5 LED Flashlight Torch 7W 1200LM 3 Modes

I only run electrical items that take an AA battery so I will be able to spread them around in various packs.

My prepping consists of bugging out by bicycle so any comments are likely to be based on that scenario.

I bought 6 of these from ebay about a year ago & they are all still going strong, hard to believe they can make these for the price they sell them for.

I think they are exceptional value, ive got other more expensive torches but I always reach for one of the little cree's when I need a torch these days. ;)

Please bear in mind i am prepping for the River Thames to flood and how i can get to safe ground, I'm not worried about the end of the world..... I'll die with the other Minions.
I can't trust Govt or local Council to help me so i have to help myself.
