Good evening,
I am sure that there is a thread on this forum already about waterproof jackets, but I'll be damned if I can find it! If someone knows where it is, please feel free to redirect this post.
Anyway, my Keela jacket finally died this morning, despite my best efforts to sew parts back on. Whilst I am considering buying a new one, I am wondering if anyone on here can recommend a similar quality jacket for less money.
Grateful for any recommendations.
Cheers,
Mr. R

The 'fouly' jackets are pretty good, by coincidence I've just dug an old one out as a 'spare' for when my Berghaus gets sodden from dog walk number 1. The bottoms are REALLY good, as long as you're relatively slim too.Yorkshire Andy wrote:Royal navy fowl weather jacket any good?

I wish I kept some bottoms now (fnarr fnarr) but I gave loads of kit away when I left. Certainly Navy rig is more 'generous' than the green/deserty stuff I've had, although I've got an old set of the desert camo stuff that was matelot friendly.Yorkshire Andy wrote:Gobble gobble

I was surprised by the 'foulies', the jackets they replaced were pretty crap and I wasn't hopeful but they're pretty good and a quick look online suggests 25 quid will get you a goretex jacket.

Thanks for replies.
I'll see what the Army and Navy has in stock, when I nip in there tomorrow.

I've only been using paramo for years now keela is good but a bit too sweaty for me, paramo isn't cheap but it's the best I've used and comes with a lifetime warranty, my velez smock has been battered for around 10-12 years the Velcro cuffs are just dying now easy repair when I get round to sending it back but it's still waterproof
