Thought I'd register and have a look around, I wouldn't class myself as someone who has prepping as a hobby but I do believe society could implode very quickly and that I would not consider anyone making contigencies some kind of loonball.
I have gone as far as putting together a rucksack with suitible equipment but had it stolen from my car
